We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing weekly payrolls, communicate with all internal stakeholders
  • Maintain confidential employee records and files
  • Assist with preparing union remittances and complete required reporting
  • Assist with union agreement updates and maintenance within the accounting system
  • Assist with preparing ROEs for weekly union terminations
  • Stay current with payroll regulations, standards and best practices
  • Assist with design and implementation of efficiency initiatives
  • Assist with preparing labour reports as required by Construction / Service / Safety department

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Relative education background and the passion to grow a payroll career
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts related to payroll would be an asset
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong organisation and data entry skills
  • Able to deal with people sensitivity, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
  • Desire to continuously improve systems and processes with an open mind towards change
Salary: $68,000/ year
